Hello everyone, I hope this finds you and your families well. Seems a bit like ground hog day. Teleworking, social distancing, and races/rides keep getting cancelled. Really not much more to say about that, just seems a bit weird. The local Reston Century has been cancelled for the year, plus all the group rides. This means, it’s just me, myself and I! Well, not exactly…I can ride with a couple of people or two. The weather has been great here and when that happens people want out. There is a wide array of people…. the constant mask wearers, the wear only as required and the hell nos. One thing for sure, most people seem to be done with quarantine.
I have continued on my mileage quest with a combination of walking/hiking, running and cycling. May has turned out to be the best month yet, finishing with 118.56 miles. I have ventured out in Virginia and Maryland visiting different parks and trails. Always a fun thing.
A few pics of my adventures the last couple of weeks:
The Rock and Roll Montreal still hasn’t been cancelled. We shall see where this goes…. If not I think I’m ready to just go virtual or pick out some destinations on my own for places I would like to go and run or cycle. Maybe that’s where the path was meant to lead this year. I kind of like the idea of just wandering….and going where I want. Nothing says it has to be so scripted.
My longest ride so far was 22.74.
I have completed 7899.46 miles with 3415.54 miles gratefully remaining. Happy Miles to You!!
Seems like this song is appropriate today….
