Had fairly good weather this week. Incorporated kettle bell weights and regular weight training 3 times along with running. Total mileage for the week was 18.8.
The knee is on the mend! I’ve been focusing on lots of stretching and the elliptical on certain days. Today was the first day it actually didn’t hurt after the workout – progress I hope. Last weeks mileage was 13.22.

Last weeks mileage logged 14.22. Incorporated kettle bells into the routine as well. If you are looking for a challenging weight routine try the kettle bell workout. I stayed away from them for a long time, just using the machines or other free weights. I finally broke down and gave it a try. It was an amazing workout and I felt it a couple of days after I was finished! It was much easier on my back and I didn’t feel the strain I normally feel because I don’t fit the machine – lol. Yes, I’m 5’4″, so even on the smallest setting sometimes the machines don’t fit. No doubt, I’ll be keeping this routine.
This week was a little light with only 15.34 miles. Knee is acting up so looks like it’s going to be an elliptical and treadmill week ahead. Hate it, but I guess it has to be done.
Incorporated weights into the weekly program as well. Look to strengthening the back and knees.
